We are passionate about introducing and developing the exciting sport of field hockey in the Kansas City area. Our programs are designed to provide a fun and inclusive environment where players of all ages and skill levels can learn, grow, and achieve their full potential.

Programs

We offer a variety of programs to meet the needs of all players, including:

Beginner programs that introduce the basic skills of field hockey

Intermediate programs that help players develop their skills and game sense

Advanced programs that focus on strategy, positional play, and advanced skills and tactics

All of our programs are sanctioned by USA Field Hockey, NFHCA, the USFHA, and high school federation rules.

our story

Kansas City Field Hockey was founded in 2020 by Bram Strookman and Meg Larkin. With a shared passion for field hockey, they set out to grow the sport in the Kansas City area.

Bram, a native of the Netherlands, brought his love for the game to the United States. After moving to Kansas City, he discovered a limited field hockey scene and recognized an opportunity to make a difference. Inspired by the sport’s potential, Bram, with the support of Meg Larkin, established Kansas City Field Hockey.

While Meg has since moved on to start Kansas JayHockey in Lawrence, KS, her initial contributions to KCFH were invaluable. Together, they laid the foundation for a thriving field hockey community in Kansas City.

Today, KCFH offers various programs for players of all ages and skill levels. We strive to inspire young athletes through clinics, training sessions, and competitive teams and foster a love for the sport.
